OMD is planning to send out end-of-the-year media greetings simultaneously today to all their clients and suppliers across 19 countries in the region, as part of their Christmas campaign.
The project that the beverage company awarded to the media agency that forms part of Starcom extends to all the beverage company’s brands in Mexico and it will begin formally in 2009. According to Benjamin Gómez – the media agency’s regional vice-president – the designation is due to the “local focus from a global perspective” that they have held for a long time.
The website reported an increase of advertising sales in Colombia of over 120% compared to the same period of 2007. Growth was strengthened in the country after relaunching its operations in February this year, and as a result of offering non-traditional formats.
During his visit to Argentina, the executive disclosed that the news network would be landing in Chile to launch CNN Chile together with a local partner, VTR cable company. Furthermore, the network signed an agreement with Movistar for the distribution of mobile telephone contents in Uruguay.
At a general meeting of the MA – founded in 1989 –Jesús Muñoz was unanimously voted president of MindShare Spain, continuing at his post for a further two years. Another two executives also continue: Javier Bernad, as media vice-president and Fernando Rodríguez as technical vice-president.
The Washington Olivetto agency continues to set their stakes on strengthening their media leadership. Following the incorporation of Fabiola Sidorenko in February as media manager at the Sao Paulo office, Simone Mesquita now joins in a similar position at the Rio de Janeiro branch.
